The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Ashcroft on March 17, 2015.
He was Donald George Alford, aged 63, of Cache Creek.
Mr. Alford was the driver and sole occupant of a taxicab that left the travelled portion of the roadway and hit a rock face in the 900 block of Highway 97C in Ashcroft at about 5:30 p.m. on March 17. Mr. Alford was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service, WorkSafeBC and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Alford’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
