The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died after an ATV incident near Kamloops on March 28, 2015.
He was Joshua William Pollard Zapf, aged 27, from Kamloops.
Mr. Zapf was operating a quad ATV on Greenstone Mountain, about 30 km from Kamloops at about 6 p.m. on March 28 when he failed to negotiate a curve, and the ATV left the roadway into trees. Mr. Zapf’s companions immediately went to summon help, and he was transported to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. However, he succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash the next day.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Zapf’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
