The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Cache Creek on April 11, 2015.

He was Clarence William Luggi, aged 45, who had most recently been living in Vancouver.

Mr. Luggi was a pedestrian walking eastbound along Highway 1 about half a kilometre east of Cache Creek about 5 a.m. on April 11, 2015, when he was struck by a pickup truck proceeding in the same direction. Mr. Luggi was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Luggi’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
