The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a motor vehicle incident in the Victoria suburb of Central Saanich on May 15, 2015.

She was Dorothy Joan Crocker, aged 78, of Brentwood Bay.

Ms. Crocker was the driver of a Honda CRV that and was attempting to make a left hand turn at the uncontrolled intersection onto Keating Cross Road from the Patricia Bay Highway (Highway 17) about 3:45 p.m. on May 15 when she was involved in a two-vehicle collision. Ms. Crocker was immediately transported to Victoria General Hospital, but could not be resuscitated.

The BC Coroners Service and Central Saanich Police continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Crocker has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
