The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident in Kelowna on May 22, 2015.

She was Joselyn Casavant, aged 21, of Kelowna.

Ms. Casavant was the driver and sole occupant of a car that, while proceeding along McCurdy Road at about 10:15 p.m. on May 22, was involved in a head-on collision with another car which apparently crossed the centre line near the intersection with Morrison Road. Ms. Casavant was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Ms. Casavant’s family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
