The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident in Prince George on May 28, 2015.  

He was Cody Dal Martin Diebold, aged 21, of Prince George.

Mr. Diebold was the driver and sole occupant of a southbound car which collided with a northbound pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 97 and Austin Rd. West about 14 kilometres north of downtown Prince George in the late evening hours of May 28. Mr. Diebold was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Diebold has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
