The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died while hiking in North Vancouver.
Mr. Sean Henley, aged 55, from West Vancouver was hiking on the Grouse Grind trail at Grouse Mountain when he suffered a collapse approximately three-quarters of the way to the summit.
Resuscitation efforts attempted by a bystander who had witnessed Mr. Henley’s collapse were unsuccessful and Mr. Henley was confirmed deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Henley has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
