The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near Smithers on June 21, 2015.  

He was Trenton Bruhjell, aged 19, of Smithers.

Mr. Bruhjell was driving a pickup truck on the unpaved Telkwa High Road, in the early morning hours of June 21 when the truck went out of control and rolled. Mr. Bruhjell was rushed to Bulkley Valley Hospital in Smithers, but died shortly after arriving there.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Bruhjell has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
