The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who was found deceased in Nanaimo on July 4, 2015.

He was Jeremy Edward Bailey, aged 38, of no fixed address.

Mr. Bailey was found deceased by Nanaimo RCMP members in a tent in Bowen Park near the intersection of Bradley and Millstone roads on the morning of July 4, 2015.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.

The family of Mr. Bailey has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
