The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Golden on July 5, 2015.

He was Andrew McKenzie Robertson, aged 25, of Calgary.

Mr. Robertson was a pedestrian on Highway 1 about 21.5 kilometres west of Golden about 2:30 a.m. July 5, 2015, when he was struck by a truck-trailer unit. Mr. Robertson was rushed to Golden Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival there.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Robertson’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
