The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following an ATV incident near Valemount on July 12, 2015.
He is Christopher Nicholas Humphries, aged 21, of Westlock, Alberta, a small community about 85 km north of Edmonton.
Mr. Humphries was the operator of a quad ATV which went out of control, and went over a 125-metre cliff near Kinbasket Lake south of Valemount about 4 p.m. on July 12. Mr. Humphries was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Humphries has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
