The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died while working on a logging operation near Port McNeill on July 24, 2015.
He is Jeremy Tanaka, aged 38, of Port Hardy.
Mr. Tanaka was employed at a logging operation when he was struck by a dislodged tree at about 8:15 a.m. on July 24. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and WorkSafe BC are continuing to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Tanaka has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
