The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident near Field on Sept. 10, 2015.

She was Livette Lois Atkinson, aged 54, of Cochrane, Alberta.

Ms. Atkinson was the driver and sole occupant of an SUV that was heading eastbound on Highway 1 in the early morning hours of Sept. 10, when, about four kilometres east of Field, it left the roadway and rolled. Ms. Atkinson was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Ms. Atkinson’s family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
