The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of two men who died in a residence in Burnaby on Sept. 18, 2015.

They are: Matthew Charles Miles, aged 47, of Vancouver, and Kenneth Robert Hanna, aged 48, of Burnaby.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Sept. 18 an incident occurred in a residence in the 3800-block of Frances Street in Burnaby. As a result, numerous police resources responded to the address.

When the incident was concluded, Mr. Miles and Mr. Hanna were both deceased at the scene. Along with the BC Coroners Service, the police Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) and the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) continue to investigate aspects of these two deaths.

The families of both men have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
