The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in an incident involving a motor vehicle at Ladysmith on Oct. 14, 2015.

He was Lance Francoeur, aged 48, of Ladysmith.

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2015, Mr. Francoeur was performing some work on a heavy truck in a driveway in Ladysmith. The truck began to move and Mr. Francoeur was pinned underneath it. He was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafeBC continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Francoeur has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
