The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor-vehicle incident near Peachland on Oct. 22, 2015.

He was David Roy Elias, aged 58, of Chilliwack.

Mr. Elias was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck that left the roadway, struck a ditch and rolled on Highway 97C about 17 km west of the Pennask Summit at about 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 22.  Mr. Elias was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Elias’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
