The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident along the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99) on Nov. 1, 2015.
She was Marie-Pier Champagne, aged 32, of Whistler.
Ms. Champagne was a passenger in a northbound vehicle, which was in a head-on collision with a southbound vehicle and overturned on the highway near Lions Bay on Nov. 1 just before 5 p.m. She was transported to Lions Gate Hospital but succumbed to her injuries in hospital on Nov. 3.
The BC Coroners Service and the RCMP Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service continue to investigate this death.
Ms. Champagne’s family has been notified of her death.
