The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident in Vancouver on Nov. 4, 2015.

She was Gargi Parkale, aged 18, of Vancouver.  

Ms. Parkale was a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Southeast Marine Drive and Victoria Drive at about 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2015. She was transported to Vancouver General Hospital, but succumbed to her injuries early the next morning.

The BC Coroners Service and Vancouver Police Department continue to investigate this death.

Ms. Parkale’s family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
