The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor vehicle incident on the Trans-Canada (Malahat) Highway on Nov. 18, 2015.

He was David Paulin, aged 33, of Victoria.

Mr. Paulin was the driver of a car that was travelling southbound in the correct lane of the Malahat at about 7:30 a.m. when it was struck by a northbound vehicle that had crossed the centreline. Mr. Paulin was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Paulin has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
