The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a workplace incident near Pemberton, B.C. on Nov. 18, 2015.
He was Dominic Joubert, aged 39, of Terrebonne, Quebec.
Mr. Joubert was unloading explosives ready for destruction into an incinerator when the incinerator detonated. Mr. Joubert was struck by pieces from the incinerator and was declared deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and WorkSafeBC continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Joubert has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
