The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near Grand Forks on Dec. 4, 2015.

He is Ivan Laverne Partridge, aged 84, a resident of Grand Forks.

Mr. Partridge was a pedestrian walking westbound along the shoulder of Highway 3E near Grand Forks at about 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 4, 2015, when, about 300 metres from 68th Avenue, he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. Mr. Partridge was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Partridge’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
