The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident near Chilliwack on Dec. 8, 2015.

She was Freida Renee Veronica Plante, aged 48, a resident of Chilliwack.

Ms. Plante was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck, which was in a collision with a tractor-trailer unit on Highway 1 west of Annis Road near Chilliwack at about 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 8. Ms. Plante was deceased at the scene.  

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Ms. Plante’s family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
