The LNG-Buy BC Business Kit designed to help B.C. companies, large and small, prepare for liquefied natural gas (LNG) opportunities in the province is now available for download at the LNG-Buy BC website: http://LNGBuyBC.ca
The LNG-Buy BC Business Kit, first introduced at the 2015 LNG Conference, helps B.C. companies prepare to enter and compete in LNG supply chains. It outlines key considerations for local contractors and suppliers to become qualified and competitive to bid on proposals to provide the goods and services needed to support LNG projects in the province.
In addition to the Business Kit, the LNG-Buy BC program delivered several exciting activities at this year's LNG Conference.
Day 1, Oct. 14, began with the Contractor's Forum, a session providing B.C. businesses, proponents and EPCs (engineering and procurement contractors) an opportunity to share information on major LNG projects and what will be required for successful engagement.
Day 2, Oct. 15, started off with the First Nations Business Forum – sharing perspectives and insights from First Nations and Aboriginal-owned businesses on how B.C. business can engage and collaborate on LNG opportunities.
Day 3, Oct. 16, will provide the opportunity to hear real-life success stories directly from B.C. companies with respect to their successful engagement with LNG proponents and their major contractors, a must-attend panel for businesses seeking insight from those who have successfully engaged in B.C.’s growing LNG industry.
In addition to expert panel discussions, the LNG Conference is also offering other events including Business-to-Business and Business-to-Expert meetings, GameChanger Youth Expo, various keynote speakers, industry panels and a trade show.
Throughout the conference, staff support is available to help B.C. companies profile their business and make connections to LNG opportunities through the LNG-Buy Online Tool.
