Upcoming free public information sessions will provide information to landlords and tenants in northern B.C. communities.

The Residential Tenancy Branch is continuing its educational sessions in northern B.C. communities. These sessions focus on the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants. To date, nearly 300 participants have benefited from this opportunity.

Sessions have already been held in several northern communities and will continue from May 11 through May 14, in Terrace, Prince Rupert, Kitimat and Smithers.

For anyone unable to attend, the Residential Tenancy Branch host a live online information session later this month.

Topics to be covered include:

  • How the law applies to landlords and tenants.
  • Rental agreements and leases.
  • Repairs and maintenance.
  • Rent increases.
  • Eviction and ending a tenancy.

Please note: The venue for the Kitimat sessions has been changed.
