Low-income seniors and people with disabilities can continue to enjoy affordable housing at Creekside Village in Vernon, thanks to $1.9 million in renovations made possible by the B.C. government.
The funding was provided to complete some significant renovations to the building to help preserve 74 units of affordable housing. Work completed included a new roof, new windows, rockwork around the building to protect the foundation and a new heating system and air conditioners.
Provincial funding is also supporting some interior work which is underway in partnership with the building operator, the Vernon & District Community Land Trust.
