Premier Christy Clark issued the following statement marking the birth of Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s second child:
“On behalf of all British Columbians, it is a privilege and a pleasure to offer congratulations to Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their new daughter, Her Royal Highness The Princess of Cambridge.
“The Monarchy is not just an institution with a long and rich history, but real men and women we ask to carry on and live up to those traditions, both now and into the next century.
“Together, let us wish Her Royal Highness The Princess of Cambridge, His Royal Highness Prince George, and their parents the very best.”
