Premier Christy Clark has issued the following statement on the result of the Prince Edward Island election:

“I’m pleased to congratulate Wade MacLauchlan and his party on their election victory.

“P.E.I. and B.C. may be far apart, but our two provinces have a track record of working together productively within Confederation.

“I look forward to working with Premier-designate MacLauchlan and his government to achieve economic growth and opportunity right across our country.”
