Premier Christy Clark released the following statement in recognition of British Columbia Day, Monday, Aug. 3:
“Since B.C.’s humble beginnings as a colony, there has been a lot of change. Our province is now home to over 4.5 million people, and has become a pillar of confederation: vibrant, multicultural, and prosperous.
“This B.C. Day, I hope you have the opportunity to spend time with friends and family, and appreciate some of the things that make B.C. the envy of the world. From Vancouver’s thriving entertainment scene, to the Tsimeh Lakes Trails of Fort Nelson, as British Columbians we are blessed to call this magnificent place home.
“I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend.”
