Premier Christy Clark has made the following statement on the death of Manmeet Bhullar:

“Like all Canadians, I was deeply saddened to learn of Manmeet Bhullar’s death yesterday in Alberta.

“Manmeet represented the values that make this country great. He chose to enter public service at the young age of 28, representing his constituents in Alberta’s legislature and cabinet for seven years, earning the respect of everyone he came in contact with.

“Quite simply, Canada needs more people like Manmeet Bhullar – dedicated public servant, passionate advocate, and Good Samaritan.

“My thoughts and prayers are with his colleagues, friends, and family.”
