Premier Christy Clark has announced the following change in cabinet responsibilities.

“Today, Mike Morris was sworn in as Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General. 

“Suzanne Anton will continue to serve British Columbians as Minister of Justice and Attorney General. 

"Mike Morris brings strong experience to the Executive Council as a 32-year veteran of the RCMP and former North District superintendent. He will bring a singular focus to public safety as he builds on Suzanne Anton’s many accomplishments and an outstanding record of being tough on crime and strong on crime prevention.

“Suzanne Anton will continue to spearhead the work to accelerate access to justice, continue justice innovation and will be British Columbia’s lead on the federal government’s Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.”
