As part of the joint replacement work taking place on the north approach viaduct, there will be additional lane closures on the Lions Gate Bridge starting the week of Jan. 19.

All lanes will be open on the bridge beginning at 5:30 a.m. daily.

Evening and nighttime lane closures may occur Sunday through Thursday (except during special events). Single-lane closures can be expected from 7 p.m. and two lane closures can be expected after 10 p.m.

Drivers are advised to expect delays and traffic congestion at the Lions Gate Bridge, and are encouraged to find alternative routes and to check www.DriveBC.ca for current conditions and web cam views.

These lane closures are necessary to minimize nighttime construction noise for residents as much as possible and to ensure the joint replacement work is completed in February.
