Agriculture Minister Norm Letnick issued the following statement on the appointment of Wally Oppal, QC, as a member of the council of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia effective immediately:
“It is a pleasure to welcome Wally Oppal as a new public lay member of the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia.
“Wally is an exemplary British Columbian and the former attorney general and minister responsible for multiculturalism. We are honoured that he will be providing his expertise to the college.
“Wally’s years of experience will be a huge asset to the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia and I congratulate him on his appointment to a term ending Dec. 31, 2017.”
