The BC Wildfire Service is responding to a wildfire burning roughly five kilometres northwest of Nazko, B.C. and roughly 90 kilometres west of Quesnel, B.C.

At 1900 hrs, the wildfire was estimated at 1,000 hectares in size. Its cause is currently under investigation.

The BC Wildfire Service and forest industry personnel are currently responding to this incident with suppression resources. Firefighters and heavy equipment are currently on site, and more resources are en route.
