Members of the public are advised that Maggie Lake Forest Service Road, 10 kilometres northwest of Ucluelet, has been closed due to a rockfall at kilometre nine. The road will remain closed until weather conditions permit crews to safely remove debris.

The road is currently barricaded on either side of the rockfall and warning signs have been posted. In the interest of public safety, people are cautioned not to proceed beyond the signs, nor the barricades.

An alternate route between Toquart Bay and Ucluelet is available by way of the Barkley Main Forest Service Road – which is currently being graded and brushed for safety – off the Port Albion Highway.

The Maggie Lake and Barkley Main Forest Services Roads are located within a 10 kilometre radius northwest of Ucluelet.
