Premier Christy Clark issued the following statement on the Queen’s 90th birthday:

“In 90 years – more than 64 of them as Queen and Canada’s head of state – Her Majesty has experienced and helped shape world history like few others, from the Second World War to today.

“Hers is the longest-ever reign by a Queen regnant in world history, including as Canada’s head of state, and remains an example of grace and dignity personified.

“On behalf of British Columbia, I wish Her Majesty a happy birthday.”
