Premier Christy Clark issued the following statement to mark the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism:
“Thirty-one years ago today, terrorists set off a bomb on Air India Flight 182 that killed all 329 passengers and crew members, most of them Canadians.
“We remember those who lost their lives in this attack. Today, we also pay tribute to the memory of victims of other acts of terrorism, including the recent attacks in Paris, Brussels and many more.
“Those who commit such acts of violence want to change us and our shared values. They will fail.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all families affected by terrorist acts and we thank the men and women who risk their lives to stand up against terrorism around the world.”
