The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following an avalanche near Celista on March 13, 2016.
He was Bryan David Morry, aged 37, of Celista, a small community on the north shore of Shuswap Lake.
Mr. Morry was snowmobiling with friends on March 13, 2016, on Crowfoot Mountain when, as they stopped for a lunch break, he was struck by an avalanche. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Morry has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
