The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following an ATV incident near Castlegar on June 11, 2016.
She was Nicole Anne Rodrigues, 32, of Castlegar.
Ms. Rodrigues was the operator of an ATV that was travelling on the Gladstone Forest Service Road about 40 kilometres from Castlegar on the afternoon of June 11, 2016, when she lost control and went down an eight-metre embankment.
When she did not meet up with a fellow rider as planned, he began searching for her. She was found the next morning, pinned under her ATV. She was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Ms. Rodrigues’s family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
