The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident In Victoria on June 27, 2016.
He is Jamie Scott McMillan, aged 36, of Victoria.
Mr. McMillan was a pedestrian crossing Hillside Avenue at Higgins Street in a marked crosswalk about 5:50 p.m. on June 27, 2016, when he was struck by a passenger van. He was transported to Victoria General Hospital, but died there the next morning.
The BC Coroners Service and Victoria City Police continue to investigate this death.
Mr. McMillan’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
