The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a hiking accident near Squamish on Aug. 7, 2016.
She is Heather Davis, aged 30, of Vancouver.
Ms. Davis was hiking with a companion on the Al Habrich Trail near the Squamish Gondola when she fell about 20 metres down an embankment. She was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and Squamish RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Ms. Davis’ family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
