The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in West Kelowna on Sept. 28, 2016.

He was Micheal Richard Kim Lang, aged 24, of West Kelowna.

Mr. Lang was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck that was headed northbound on Highway 97 in West Kelowna about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 28. Across from Gorman’s Lumber Mill, the vehicle went out of control and hit a rock face. Workers from the lumber mill provided immediate assistance, but Mr. Lang was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

Mr. Lang’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
