The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died in a motor vehicle incident near Dawson Creek on Nov. 13, 2016.
She was Victory McFarlen, aged 23, of Dawson Creek.
Ms. McFarlen was the driver and sole occupant of a northbound pickup truck that went out of control and rolled over on the Alaska Highway south of the Kiskatenaw River Bridge near Dawson Creek about 6:10 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2016. She was deceased at the scene. Road conditions were noted to be icy at the time.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Ms. McFarlen has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
