Later this month, for the first time ever, Vancouver will be one of only ten North American cities to host a highly exclusive event featuring dozens of the world’s top winery owners from Bordeaux, France.
On Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux – a group of internationally revered winery owners from Bordeaux – arrives in Vancouver to showcase their wines to industry and the public on a Canadian Stage. Since 1973, the Union has travelled around the globe, drawing ever-increasing acclaim for one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions. Never before has the group made a stop in British Columbia.
BC Liquor Stores and the Union will host a public event with limited tickets available. Ticketholders will be able to meet with and sample wines from 45 of Bordeaux’s top Château owners, many of whose families have been producing world-class wines for hundreds of years. They will also have the chance to place orders for their favourites, to be delivered this fall during BC Liquor Stores’ annual Bordeaux wine release.
Interested media are welcome to attend, and are asked to RSVP to the BC Liquor Distribution Branch Communications team in advance. Contact information is provided below.
