The public is invited to attend a drop-in information session on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 to preview plans and provide comments on the design of the replacement
for the Salmon River Bridge on Highway 97 north of Prince George.
The 61-year-old bridge will be replaced with a new structure that is wider and have a greater capacity to handle oversize loads. The project will include a dedicated sidewalk and pedestrian underpasses at both ends of the bridge, as well as safe off-highway parking for recreational users of the Salmon River.
Construction on the project is anticipated to begin in late 2016.
Staff from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure will be at the open house to provide information and answer questions. If you are unable to attend, please send your comments or questions to the project manager, Brian Taylor, at: BrianM.Taylor@gov.bc.ca
