Drivers can expect heavy traffic volumes and delays from Saturday night (April 2) through Sunday morning (April 3) on the Lions Gate Bridge, as crews work to install the temporary construction bridge cover for rehabilitation work.
The temporary bridge cover and the 13-metre approach ramps will be installed this weekend, weather dependent.
This installation will require a single-lane closure from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, and single-lane alternating traffic from 10:30 p.m., April 2, to 9 a.m. April 3.
Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and go to: www.DriveBC.ca for up-to-date information.
Once installed, this temporary cover will be safe for normal driving speeds on the corridor and drivers are encouraged to drive with the normal flow of traffic.
