Two new highway webcams are now installed on Highway 1 at Hoffman’s Bluff, giving drivers a real-time view of this section of the Trans-Canada Highway east of Pritchard, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Todd Stone announced.
“My ministry is working hard to widen this section of the Trans-Canada Highway at Hoffman’s Bluff to four lanes,” Stone said. “These new, permanent cameras will help drivers avoid possible delays on this section by viewing current traffic conditions in advance. These cameras have also been added to the DriveBC webcam inventory, bringing the count of highway webcam images across the province to roughly 500.”
These webcams will provide real-time monitoring of Highway 1 at Hoffman’s Bluff and are in addition to the seven webcams that already exist on Highway 1 from Kamloops to Chase. Drivers are encouraged to check DriveBC before travelling in order to avoid delays and to check weather conditions.
