Drivers along Highway 16 and visitors to the Ancient Forest/Chun T’oh Whudujut Park are advised that the parking lot and Universal Boardwalk and Trail will be closed during parts of September as the Province continues highway intersection improvements and parking lot upgrades to increase the safety and accessibility of the new park.
Highway 16 will also be reduced to single-lane alternating-traffic during construction. Traffic delays are expected to be less than 20 minutes along the route. All travellers are reminded to obey signs and watch for traffic-control personnel.
The closures and traffic delays will take place on the following days:
- Tuesday September 6 to Friday September 9.
- Monday September 12 to Friday September 16.
- Monday September 19 to Friday September 23.
- Open on the weekends.
