Work is now complete to replace a small, local bridge on Kamloops Lake Drive near the west end of Kamloops Lake.
“Crews have been working over the summer to replace this bridge,” said Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone. “The old existing single-lane wooden structure has been removed and a new, modern pre-cast concrete bridge is now in place. In addition, the realignment of nearly 400 metres of roadway and channel upgrades to Durand Creek are also complete.”
As part of B.C. on the Move, government has dedicated $180 million over three years toward repairing and replacing provincial bridges, which represents a 50% increase in bridge rehabilitation funding over previous years.
The construction is complete on this $250,000 contract and the road is fully open to local traffic.
