A project to stabilize a rock slope on Highway 31 north of Kaslo, in the vicinity of Lost Ledge Provincial Park, is now complete.
“It was important that we got this work done to help stabilize the rock slope and improve the safety for motorists travelling through this corridor,” said Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone. “Over 2,000 square metres of slope were scaled back to remove loose rock and debris, and 800 metres of rock bolts are now installed to secure the rock to the cliff face.”
Ned’s Creek Blasting completed this $380,000 contract.
As part of B.C. on the Move, the ministry will invest $2.7 billion to improve B.C.’s transportation network.
