Nearly 14 kilometres of Highway 93/95 are now resurfaced, as well as 4.5 kilometres of side roads in the Canal Flats area, south of Columbia Lake in the East Kootenay.
“Resurfacing in this area of the Rockies is now complete, just in time for the arrival of winter,” said Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone. “Sections of Highway 93 and 95 from Grave Lake Road to Canal Flats Bridge have been resurfaced and improved, which will benefit local residents as well as tourists accessing the Fairmont Resort.”
Resurfacing is complete on sections of Highway 93/95 27 kilometres north of Wasa to Canal Flats Bridge. In addition, local area side-road paving is complete on the north end of Green Road, Findlay Creek Road and Fairmont Resort Road.
